The “V Sign”

If you order drinks at the pub and hold up your hand to indicate 2 drinks, make sure your palm is facing outward. When you hold up the V sign with your palm facing inward, it’s an insult in the UK like holding up your middle finger. Apparently Winston Churchill learned this after the fact.
